This past weekend I was out of town for a family wedding. With a little bit of time to spare the day before, I searched for the baseball card shop I frequented as a kid. It was no longer there, but I found a different one a few hundred feet down the road.
The newly found store had mostly old cards, which was a pleasant find. This place has T206s, T202s, Old Judges, Goudeys and more – all ungraded – which is right up my ally. I spent awhile looking at boxes of T206s and had found a few I needed for my set. However, this place didn’t accept credit cards, which totally ruined my day. I had planned on walking out of there with a couple hundred dollars of cards, but instead came away with a $30 commoner. How frustrating! Like most people these days, I don’t carry cash and use plastic for everything – it’s so much easier!
I will no doubt stop by this shop whenever I travel through that area, but really wished the place accepted credit cards.
